What is energy work?
- Energy work is used to help balance the systems of energy throughout the body to alleviate stress, ailments and disease. It is not a cure all but it can help when one is feeling overwhelmed. essentially when one feels unbalanced either physically, emotionally or mentally, energy work aids to restore and realign the body’s subtle vibrations. There are many ways to do this. Tarot and reiki are two of the ways but meditation and akashic record readings also can help. Crystal healing as well as finding ways to ground yourself at home or in nature.

What is a tarot reading?
- A tarot reading is using the divination tool, tarot cards. A traditional deck comes with 78 cards and will send you messages through Spirit, channelled through myself. You will get insight into problems you may be facing, influences that will help you to work through these problems, future outcomes and how you can try to avoid certain hardships. The tarot reading will call you out on your shit. I will not lie. You need to be prepared for all scenarios and you need to come into it with an open mind. I am booking months in advance so keep this in mind. I require a $25 non refundable deposit to book.

What is a natal chart?
- A natal chart is a diagram representing the positions of the Sun, Moon and other planets, astrological aspects and sensitive angles at the time of a person’s birth or an event in time. It will give you great insight into your personality, the things you need to work on, the things you will excel in, certain events that will take place over your lifetime. It is all in your natal chart. It gives you so much more insight into your personality than just being a Taurus or a Sagittarius Sun. For example myself, Kari aka MommaBat, I am a Taurus Sun which makes me grounded, stable but stubborn, a Virgo Moon which makes me analytical and organized but hypercritical and a Leo rising which makes me a natural born leader, cheery and positive but also at times ego centric. I have an 8th house stellium which highly draws me to the occult and all things weird, witchy and unnatural. It also bestows me highly intuitive gifts and a natural affinity for astrology. Your natal chart can tell you all of this and more. For this, I will need your birth day, month, day and year, birth location and birth time. To have 100% accuracy the birth time IS needed. Turn around time for natal charts is between 2-3 weeks. This is typically a 10 page document. Please be patient with me when it comes to natal charts as they are very time consuming and I usually only have evenings or my children’s nap time to work on them.

What is reiki? What is distant healing?
- Reiki is a form of energy healing using light touch and palm healing through which a “universal energy” is transferred through the hands of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. Reiki healers learn 3 symbols to allow them to heal and the last symbol that we learn is Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen which means “distance healing” and this allows us to transcend time, space and distance. It allows practitioners to clear blockages from someone’s past as well as perform reiki on someone who is not physically present. Basically how it would work is we would set up a time to perform the session. With you being in a quiet and safe environment, to relax, while I tune into your energy and send my healing vibrations towards you. It can last anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour. You will feel the affects of this reiki session for the next several days to months afterward.

What is an akashic record reading?
-The Akashic Records is a collection of all universal events, thoughts, words, emotions, energy and events ever to have occurred in the past, present or future in terms of all entities, life forms and energetic beings, not just human. By falling into a deep meditative state you can enter your own personal records or with permission of another, their records. In here you can learn about past lives, past ailments, past deaths, past lessons, future lessons. You can rewrite what has and what will happen and change your future and past self. Also in turn changing your present. There are many ways that this can help your life. Personally, professionally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. You name it, an akashic record reading will help. I will be offering my services for this to come in the new year so stay tuned for more information.

How do you book a service?
- For now you may contact me through DM on either Facebook or Instagram. Or you may email me at mommabatapothecary@outlook.com . I am currently booked a few months in advance so you will need to be patient for our reading. I promise it will be well worth it. I also require a $25 deposit to secure your date, this is a non refundable deposit. This goes towards the final total of our reading. Tips are not expected but always appreciated.

What is included in your readings?
- For my 7 card reading it includes 60+ minutes over video chat or in person. I take pictures of your cards and will send the photos to you after our session. I am free and open to any questions before and after and often send helpful resources. For a 3 card reading you will get 45+ minutes. Again the pictures and any additional questions will be included.

How often do I work?
- I work on Tuesday, Thursday and sometimes Saturday evenings. I am a stay at home mother of 3 young boys, and taking care of my home so my days are jam packed with caring for them, as well as getting out orders, finishing up natal charts and any other work I have to finish up on. As well, this work is very energy consuming and for those reasons I can only do this work three times a week.

What are crystals used for?
- Crystals are multi functioning. They can be used for energy healing. I use them in all of my tarot, reiki and witchcraft. They can be used to cleanse the environment around you, help with anxiety, help with sleep problems, attract positivity, love, joy and peace to your life. Dispel anger, toxicity and evil energy surrounding. They also are absolutely beautiful and can make statement pieces in home decor and jewelry.

Do you ship? Do you deliver in Winnipeg?
- I currently ship all across Canada and within the USA. I am open to shipping internationally as well as long as it makes sense price wise for both myself and the client. Shipping starts as cheap as $3 but can go anywhere over $20 depending on the size of the package and where it is going to/if tracking is included. I currently have a flat rate for shipping, but am open to working something out. Feel free to ask me more questions about shipping.
I will make one stop to the post office weekly so depending on when I last shipped items you may have to wait a week for your item to be shipped out.
I will deliver within Winnipeg 1-2x per week if my schedule allows, for an additional $8 fee. This always will depend on my schedule and who is around to watch my children. But so far it has been working for me. I also offer contactless pickup in Winnipeg (Wolseley) at any point. All I ask is for a 2 hour heads up so I can make sure your package is ready and waiting for you.

What is my turn around time?
- For items that are made to order as long as I have all supplies, it will take me 5 business days to complete. Most things are already ready to either be picked up or shipped but sometimes I will have a custom necklace or bracelet that needs a few days to be worked on. Natal charts take 3-4 weeks. Shipping items take 5-7 business days to get out.
